The Year 10 rugby defeated Worksop College 24-12 today in a fiercely contested match. This is a particularly remarkable achievement given that King's lost the same fixture 50-0 last year. Scorers: Bashyal George Linford Whittaker Well done!!!

Year 12 Environmental Scientists spent the day at Dyson Farms, Nocton. They performed field work and observed how modern agriculture uses ecological principles to maintain sustainable food security and maximise biodiversity. Many thanks to Dyson Farms for being fantastic hosts. @dysonfarming

This morning, Mr Deller and I presented certificates and lollies to 7S and Miss Sharples for being top readers in the Accelerated Reader scheme this year. 7S had a final, massive word count of 34,190,64 words and passed 735 Accelerated Reader quizzes in total! This is an amazing achievement, especially as they beat the second-placed class by over 12 million words! There are also 13 reading millionaires in this class. Atheeksh Shetty is the top reader this year with 6,353,930 words. He received a certificate and an Amazon voucher. Many congratulations to all the boys. Mrs Hobbs - Librarian

The School Council, in collaboration with the Student Support Centre, proudly hosted the Tour de King's a fundraising challenge where students and staff collectively cycled to keep pace with the Tour de France! Assemblies raised awareness around mental health issues, and the event supported two fantastic causes: Don't Lose Hope, a Lincolnshire-based mental health charity, and the King's Outdoor Space Project. Furthermore, the sale of biscuits from the school canteen and an outstanding performance of a student-written play 'Metamorphosis' from the drama club were notable highlights! A huge thank you to all the families who have already donated! The event will continue throughout sports day and donations can still be made via ParentPay every contribution helps us go the extra mile! @dontlosehope_cafe

Well done to the U13 cricket XI! King's travelled to Boston for the final of the Lincolnshire State Schools Cricket competition. King's lost the toss and were asked to bowl. The bowling unit worked to a very high standard and had KEVIGS all out for 40. Pavi Puri was the pick of the bowlers taking a hat-trick to record figures of 3-3-1-3. Ed McClure and Bobby Short then made short work of most of the chase, with Short being bowled for 2 in an opening partnership of 28. Stanley Chapman then batted through with McClure as King's chased the target in 6.3 overs. McClure finishing on 28*. King's are now U13 County champions and will represent Lincolnshire in the Regional Final at Kimbolton School.

Debate England at Ibstock Place School. Despite being one of the few state schools, the King's School debate team performed exceptionally well at the Ibstock BP charity tournament for Team England. Alex and Max through to the State School Final James and Oli through to the Silver Final Early start, tough motions, great results

Welcome to the King's School Alumni
It is a real privilege to have been elected Chairman of The King's School, Grantham Alumni Society, especially as we look ahead to a very special milestone — our 125th anniversary in 2026. This is a moment to celebrate the generations of Old Boys who have gone before us, but also a chance to look forward and reimagine what our Alumni Society can be for the next 125 years.
My hope is simple: to build on the strong foundations already in place whilst also reinvigorating the Society for the future — making it engaging, relevant, and welcoming to all former pupils. We want alumni to feel connected — to each other, to the school, and to the next generation of King’s students.
